The Salere ski slope is one of the most beautiful and distinctive descents in Ski Civetta. This great red run leads from the upper slopes of Monte Fertazza down to Pescul, crossing panoramic mountainsides, clearings and forests in the heart of Val Fiorentina.
With a length of more than 3.5 kilometres and over 650 metres of vertical drop, the Salere offers a long, varied and rewarding descent. Wide sweeping turns, fast-flowing sections and continuous changes in gradient accompany skiers from the mountain to the valley, with spectacular views of Mount Pelmo, Mount Civetta and the surrounding peaks.
The slope chosen to represent Ski Civetta
The qualities of the Salere have also been recognised by Dolomiti Superski, which included it in its official “The most iconic slopes” collection, dedicated to twelve symbolic descents across the Dolomites.
In the collection, Salere – Civetta appears alongside renowned slopes such as the Olympia delle Tofane, Gran Risa, Sylvester, Fodoma and La Volata.
It was a particularly significant choice: among the many slopes of Ski Civetta, the Salere was selected to represent the entire ski area in Dolomiti Superski’s collection of its most iconic descents.
This confirms what many regular skiers already know: the Salere is one of the gems of Ski Civetta, combining rewarding skiing, magnificent views and an authentic mountain setting.
A long descent from Fertazza to Pescul
The Salere begins in the upper part of the ski area, close to the mountain station of the Fertazza chairlift and the Belvedere Fertazza mountain restaurant.
From here, the route descends towards Pescul through wide turns, changing gradients and faster sections. In the upper part, the view opens across the Dolomites, while further down the slope gradually enters the forest and reaches the picturesque area around the Lastie ski lift, one of the most distinctive and secluded corners of the ski area.
Technical without being extreme, the Salere is ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers looking for space to carve their turns and enjoy a true mountain descent.
Its generally peaceful setting and varied terrain make it a slope to discover at your own pace, ski from beginning to end and, for many, repeat several times during the day.
A new investment in summer 2026
To further enhance this symbolic slope, in summer 2026 Seggiovie Fertazza began an important project to modernise and upgrade the Salere snowmaking system.
The new technology will make it possible to prepare the slope more quickly, evenly and efficiently, making the most of favourable snowmaking conditions and improving the overall reliability of the system.
The project uses solutions developed by TechnoAlpin, the South Tyrolean company internationally recognised as a leading specialist in snowmaking systems.
The aim is to offer skiers an even better-prepared and more reliable Salere, while preserving the natural, panoramic and sporting character that has made it one of the most popular descents in Ski Civetta.
Investing in Fertazza’s signature slope
The snowmaking upgrade marks another step in the ongoing enhancement of Monte Fertazza and the skiing experience offered by Val Fiorentina.
Investing in the Salere means investing in a slope that brings together all the qualities of a great Dolomite descent: length, vertical drop, scenery, variety and identity.
From the upper slopes of Fertazza down to Pescul, the Salere captures the most authentic character of Ski Civetta in more than 3.5 kilometres: wide-open spaces, forests, snow and mountains.
A slope to ski at least once. And, for many, to repeat immediately.
