Lastie Ski Lift
Lift: Lastie Ski Lift
The Lastie ski lift is much more than a simple lift: it is one of the most distinctive and recognisable experiences on Monte Fertazza and in the entire Ski Civetta area.
Its lower station is located along the Salere slope, one of the most iconic runs in the ski area, where the long descent towards Pescul meets a quieter and more secluded section hidden among the woods. From here, the Lastie climbs gently up the mountainside, taking skiers towards the Forcella Pecol 1 and Forcella Pecol 2 slopes.
The lift’s true distinctive feature is its route: a historic drag lift with two bends, changing direction as it climbs through the forest. This now rare technical solution turns the journey uphill into an experience worth remembering.
The lift follows the natural contours of the mountain through trees, clearings and atmospheric woodland views, preserving the authentic character of traditional skiing. There are no protective bubbles, automatic boarding systems or large structures: just the steady rhythm of the drag lift, the silence of the forest and the pleasure of being carried towards one of the most genuine corners of the ski area.
At the top, the Forcella Pecol sector opens out onto a wide panoramic plateau with views towards the Sella Group. From here, skiers can enjoy long sweeping turns on Forcella Pecol 2, return towards the Salere slope or continue along the connections of the Ski Civetta area.
The Lastie perfectly represents the spirit of Fertazza: authentic, panoramic and deeply connected to the history of skiing. It is a lift that does more than carry skiers uphill; it tells the story of a different way of experiencing the mountain, one that is slower, more direct and more personal.
For anyone skiing down the Salere slope, taking the Lastie is therefore much more than a simple detour: it is a small journey back in time and one of the experiences not to be missed during a day of skiing in the Civetta ski area.
